Ich bin ja immer auf der Suche nach der Eier legenden Wollmilchsau, hier ist mal wieder ein interessanter Vertreter bei den Audiointerfaces der sehr viel Ausstattung und auch Leistung für einen recht angenehmen Preis.
Das Ultralite-mk3 MOTU Hybrid ist ein recht kompaktes und vielseitiger Audio-Interface, die Bezeichnung Hybrid steht hier, für das Vorhandensein eines FireWire sowie auch eines USB2 Anschlusses so kann das UltraLite-mk3 hybrid mit beiden Welten (USB2 und Firewire) kommunizieren und macht sowohl am Mac wie auch am Windows-Computer eine gute Figur.
Das MOTU Audioniterfaces bietet 8 analoge Eingänge, davon sind 2 als Mikrofon (mit 48 Volt Phantom Speisung) oder Instrumenten Eingänge (z.B. für direkten Anschluss von Gitarre und Bass) ausgelegt, es sind 10 Ausgänge vorhanden sowie ein Stereo S / PDIF und ein Midi Ein und Ausgang auch ein Kopfhörer Anschluss ist vorhanden.
Bedingt durch das kompakte aber durchaus robuste Gehäuse ist das MOTU UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid transportabel und ist gleichermaßen gut für Studio und für die Bühne geeignet denn das UltraLite-mk3 kann auch ohne Computer als Standalone Mischpult betrieben werden.
Weiterhin ist auch ein On-Board-CueMix FX Digital Mixer mit eingebaut der ohne Latenz und somit ohne Belastung des Audiorechners arbeitet, der auch enthaltene DSP Effekt Prozessor bietet hardwareseitige professionelle Effekte wie zB. Reverb und verschiedene Studio Essentials wie 7-Band EQ mit parametrischen Filter-Typen, Kompressor und Leveler, hier gibt es sogar eine Emulation des legendären LA-2A ™ von Universal Audio.

- CueMix FX cross-platform mixing software — attractive graphic mixing, graphic editing of parametric EQ and a convenient tabbed interface for quick access to all features in one window. Also provides full-screen real-time FFT display, spectrogram „waterfall“ display, oscilloscope, X-Y plot and linear or polar phase analysis.
- Front-panel control — access any setting in your entire UltraLite-mk3 Hybrid mix directly from the front panel.
