Auf den ersten Blick wirkt bx_console E ja erstmal wie ein gewöhnliches Channel-Strip-Plugin, doch BRAINWORX verfolgt hierbei einen neuen Ansatz, denn statt nur eines einzigen Kanals gibt es hier gleich bis zu 72 davon, die insgesamt die Nachbildung einer kompletten Mischkonsole vom Typ der britischen E-Serie bilden. Die jeweils geladenen Instanzen in den DAW-Inserts interagieren miteinander, so dass jeder der 72 Kanäle subtile klangliche Abweichungen aufweist, ähnlich wie bei einem analogen Mischpult auch.

bx_console E existiert in den Pluginformaten AAX Native & DSP, AU, VST2 und VST3 für OS X (10.8 bis 10.12), Windows (7 bis 10) und Pro Tools 10.3.10 (oder höher). Ein guter Hinweis! An einer Stelle nur zum besseren Verständnis: das Plugin lässt die Kanäle nicht interagieren (wie ein Summierer, der Konsolen nachbildet) – es werden für jeden Kanal kleine Abweichungen modelliert, die den Bauteiltoleranzen einer Konsole entsprechen. das macht den Gesamtklang organischer. Zusätzlich kann jedem Kanal die „Sättigung“ der Konsole, d.h. die für die SSL-Konsole typischen Verzerrungen, hinzugegeben werden, Der Effekt ist am Ende so, wie im Text beschrieben, allerdings sollte man z.B. nicht erwarten, dass sich die Kanäle gegenseitig beeinflussen. (Finde ich aber auch besser so…)
Besten Dank für die Präzisierung, besser hätte man es nicht beschreiben können! Aber vermutlich müssen die geladenen Instanzen doch zumindest im Hintergrund irgendwie miteinander interagieren, damit jeder Kanal „weiß“, welcher er ist und wie er jeweils zu klingen hat. Oder es gibt intern einfach 72 leicht unterschiedliche Konfigurationen, die dann bloß stur der Reihe nach in jede weitere Plugin-Instanz geladen werden…
