Zu den Neuerungen gehört eine Harmonize-Funktion mit der sich sowohl Background Chöre wie auch Harmoniestimmen aus den Leadvocals erstellen lassen sollen.
Auch die legendäre EMT 140 Hallplatte wurde digital umgesetzt und gehört nun zu NECTAR 2. Zudem sind neue Effekte hinzugekommen, das Pitch Correct Tool wurde komplett überarbeitet und ein Breath Control Plugin wurde hinzugefügt.
