FM Synthese VSTi gratis, Xen-FMTS 2

Manche Audio Plugins sind ja dermaßen langweilig grafisch gestaltet, dass es mich nur wenig juckt, darüber etwas zu schreiben, nun gut es geht ja bei Audio Plugins nicht um das Design, sondern um die klanglichen Möglichkeiten. Ich habe also zuerst einmal das Artikelbild ein wenig aufgepeppt und etwas Farbe da rein gebracht, denn das Xen-FMTS 2 hat den gleichen langweiligen und deprimierenden Grauton wie der momentane Blick aus dem Fenster, es ist echt mal wieder übles Wetter hier.

Das Xen-FMTS 2 Plugin ist ein 4 Operator FM Synthesizer das sich mit einem speziellen Set von Parametern an Musiker richtet, die darin interessiert sind, auch mit alternativen Intonationen zu experimentieren. Schön ist das Xen-FMTS 2 als Freeware offeriert wird, das VSTi Plugin arbeitet in 32-bit und ist zurzeit nur für Windows verfügbar. 115 Presets, 55 Microtunings und 56 Partials Files sind im Lieferumfang.

Metallische perkussive Sounds sind mit Xen-FMTS 2 ebenso möglich wie abgefahrene Flächensounds oder seltsam klingende Klangereignisse, ich will es mal so salopp ausdrücken. Xen-FMTS 2 zieht ein wenig an der CPU was am Leistungshunger der 4 FM-Operatoren liegen dürfte.
