Der analoge POLYMOOG wurde in den Jahren von 1975 – 1980 von MOOG (logisch…) produziert. Seine schon im Namen angedeutete Polyphonie bezog er, ähnlich wie elektrische Orgeln oder Stringsynthies, durch einen gemeinsamen Oszillator für alle Stimmen, aus dem via Spannungsteiler die gewünschten Noten und Oktaven abgeleitet wurden. Dieses Prinzip hat auch XILS-lab bei der neuen Emulation namens PolyM angewandt, hier allerdings virtuell und wie immer mit einigen Extras.
Folgende Features werden laut XILS-lab geboten:
- Two aliasing-free Top Octave Divider oscillators: One for the Sawtooth, the other for the Square.
- 71 emulated chips offering Mixer, VCA, envelope, 12db filter and Pulse Width Modulation for each of the available notes.
- Gorgeous 24db ladder filter, using the acclaimed XILS-lab zero-delay algorithm.
- 9 dedicated acoustic filters (Strings, Piano, Organ, Harps,..) carefully reproduced from the original model.
- 1 resonator filter bank using 3 parametric filters (6 and 12db) matching the original model.
- Three Vintage effects (delay, Phaser, Reverb)
- 9 modulation slots for endless sound possibilities.
- 1 monophonic envelope
- 3 monophonic, tempo sync-able, LFO
- All parameters are MIDI controllable
- More than 200 presets
PolyM ist in den gängigen Pluginformaten (AAX, AU, RTAS, VST) in 32- und 64-bit verfügbar , sowohl für Mac (OS X 10.7 and later), als auch für Windows (XP, 7, 8, 10).
PolyM benötigt entweder einen USB-eLicenser oder einen iLok (1 oder 2, Dongle-Hhardware oderr Software), und es gibt es noch bis zum 31. August 31 2017 zum Einführungsangebot von 99,- Euro, danach wird der Preis auf 149,- Euro ansteigen.
