Nach dem pünktlich zum 15 jährigen Bestehen der Edel Audio Plugin Schmiede iZotope schon das Plugin „Vinyl“ neu aufgelegt wurde (weitere Infos zum neuen iZotope Vinyl Plugin findet Ihr hier) bringt iZotope nun ein wirklich hochinteressantes Delay Plugin heraus.
Das DDLY getaufte Plugin ist zwar designtechnisch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig kann aber klanglich und effekttechnisch absolut überzeugen. Bis zum 10. März dieses Jahres bekommt Ihr das eigentlich für 49,- USD gehandelte DDLY Plugin, welches sowohl für Apple OSX wie auch für Windows (VST, VST3, AAX, RTAS) sowohl in 32 bit wie auch in 64 bit erhältlich ist, gratis. Einzig ein Account bei iZotope ist dafür notwendig, dieser ist aber schnell angelegt und kostet euch natürlich auch nichts.
Das DDLY Delay Plugin erinnert mich irgendwie vom Design her an die Produkte der deutschen Firma Zynaptic aber das kann auch nur Zufall sein. Obwohl, der Algorhitmus zum Entfernen von Nachhallanteilen, welcher in der mit einem Grammy ausgezeichneten Audio Restaurations Suite RX3 von iZotope werkelt, ist glaube ich tatsächlich von Zynaptic.
Wer weis wie falsch oder richtig ich mit meinen Mutmaßungen hier tatsächlich liege. Eins ist aber auf jeden Fall absolut korrekt, das DDLY macht einen Riesenspaß denn es ist nicht nur einfach ein Delay, sondern ein dynamikabhängiges granular arbeitendes mit Filtern versehenes Monster Effekt Plugin das entweder nur ganz subtil eingesetzt werden kann aber auch sehr brachiale Effekte liefert.
